About
About Open Market Rank
Open Market Rank is an open financial-data project that makes the scale of economies, currencies and crypto markets easier to compare, verify and cite.
What we're trying to solve
Financial rankings often make complex data look simple by hiding definitions, dates and sources. Open Market Rank takes the opposite approach: the primary interface should be easy to understand, while the evidence behind every number stays easy to inspect.
The record is rebuilt twice a day, at 06:10 and 18:10 UTC, and every rebuild is kept as a snapshot that is never edited.
Our principles
Use the right measure
Different markets require different definitions of size. Open Market Rank does not force unlike financial concepts into a single universal ranking.
Show where the number came from
Every important figure has an identifiable source and reporting period, shown next to the number rather than in the footer.
Separate data time from page time
A page refreshed today may contain an observation published for an earlier year. We make that distinction explicit.
Preserve historical versions
Permanent snapshots make published rankings easy to cite and reproduce.
Explain before adding complexity
The main interface uses plain language; technical methodology stays available for those who need it.
Open Market Rank and Haydamax
Open Market Rank is part of the Haydamax data and publishing ecosystem. Related business and economic reporting may appear here where it provides useful context for the entities and markets being tracked.
Corrections and questions: contact@openmarketrank.com. Quote the entry, the figure and the snapshot identifier shown in the page's dateline; corrections are applied in the next rebuild, and the snapshot that carried the error is left untouched.
